Masoud Salehi, MD
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

As a psychiatrist trained in both adult and child & adolescent psychiatry at University of Minnesota, I provide thoughtful, individualized care for children, adolescents, and young adults. I treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions, with particular interests in ADHD, anxiety disorders, OCD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and behavioral or emotional difficulties. My approach may include medication management, therapy-informed support, parent guidance, and practical strategies to help patients function more confidently at school, home, and in relationships.

Many families come in feeling overwhelmed, unsure of what is driving their child’s struggles, or discouraged after trying to manage things on their own for a long time. I work closely with patients and parents to understand the full picture and create a collaborative, practical treatment plan tailored to each child’s unique needs and strengths.

My goal is to take the time needed to arrive at a thoughtful and confident diagnosis rather than moving too quickly into treatment decisions. I also believe medication should be used carefully and only when truly necessary, with the goal of minimizing both the number of medications and the length of treatment whenever possible.
